ZCIR

A research committee named Zamorins Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (ZCIR) has been functioning since 2003. The committee plans to extend its activities widely to enhance campus research. The Campus Research Center which was a major organizational unit of the institution is now a part of ZCIR.

Objectives of ZCIR:
  1.  To develop a culture of Research and to enhance the activities connected with research.
  1.  To inculcate an interdisciplinary approach between the various faculties.
  2.  To encourage and promote the research activities among the student community.
  3.  To help students identify the various problems and areas of research and to give necessary guidance for the successful completion of research.
  4.  To publish an in-house interdisciplinary Research Journal for the identification and execution of research of teachers and students.
  5.  To organize training modules and workshops at the Intercollegiate National and International levels for teachers and students.
  6.  To improve the services that the institution can offer society through extension activities and collaborative ventures by maintaining a list of expert resources available and also by linking with active research centers in our country.
  7.  To offer consultancy in the designing of major research projects, analysis of project findings, translation of such results into a practical, implementation-enabled system which would act as a key input that can guide policy makers.
