The Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College has been awarded the prestigious Golden Level Award for its exceptional contribution to Project Disha, a transformative educational support initiative driven by the National Service Scheme (NSS) in collaboration with Insight for Innovation, an NGO committed to educational and social upliftment.

Project Disha – an Integrated Educational Support Programme – is aimed at empowering students from government-aided and tribal schools in Kerala, specifically those studying in classes 6 to 10. The project provides structured academic assistance and holistic development programs for underprivileged children. It is implemented jointly by Insight for Innovation, NSS State Cell, and Tata Elxsi, making it one of the largest student-led outreach programmes in the state.

The students and NSS volunteers of The Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College played a vital role in the success of the project, dedicating time, resources, and creativity to support educational access and equity among marginalized communities. Their tireless efforts in mentoring, tutoring, and conducting value-added sessions across rural and tribal schools have been widely appreciated.
