We offer
varied avenues for the development of personality of the
student through co-curricular activities. Some of them are mentioned below.
National
Service Scheme (NSS)
NSS is a voluntary organization at the
national level, set up to channelise student power for nation building.
Our college has 2 units of NSS.
Some of the unique projects undertaken by our NSS team are community
development, wild life protection, environment protection, and construction
of village roads.
National Cadet Corps (NCC)
Our campus hosts an Army wing of the NCC for boys. The NCC
unit of the campus is active in promoting discipline, team spirit and
patriotism among students.
Compulsory
Social Service:
CSS is an innovative program of the University of Calicut for the
pooling of student potential for nation-building.
As per the scheme it is mandatory for all under-graduate students to
participate in social activities during specified number of hours in and
around the campus. We conduct
several CSS programs in the campus
Student
Clubs :
To promote creative and organizational ability of students,
the
campus hosts several students’ association in the form of clubs. Audio-visual club, Nature club, Drama club, Dance and Music club are
a few of them.
V
.K. Krishna Menon Forum:
V. K. Krishna Menon forum of the campus is set up in memory of the
great son of India late V. K. Krishna Menon who was an alumnus of the
institution. The Forum conducts
debates and arranges lectures by eminent personalities in matters relating
to foreign policies, internal security and economic issues.
